Step-by-step installation
- Install ELDEN RING on Steam and launch it once to create your saves.
- Download and install me3, the mod loader, from its official site.
- Download the ER-Mario archive from the project's releases page, then unzip it into a modifiable folder, e.g. Your Documents.
- Place your US version of the Super Mario 64 ROM in the ER-Mario folder.
- Launch the game with er-mario.me3: the first run prepares Mario from your ROM, then restart once the configuration message appears.
- Play offline only: never launch Elden Ring online with this mod.
Our tips
- Keep your ROM in the ER-Mario folder: each new mod version will request it again.
- If you get stuck somewhere, hold F1 for three seconds to die and respawn at the last grace point.
- Stay offline: the mod isn’t designed for multiplayer or servers.
